Don't forget to mark your calendars for the Cheers to You! event taking place on July 17 at Hunter's Green Country Club. This is definitely an event not to be missed!

This great event will be benefiting Queen for a Day, an unbelievable organization that was developed to raise the self-esteem and self-confidence of pediatric oncology patients. They do this by hosting a tea party where the girls are invited to get a make-over, manicure, and basically, just be girls! The highlight of the tea party is when each girl receives her very own tiara! Our goal is to provide a time where the girls can forget about their treatment, needles, and loneliness- to shower them with positive attention and to create happy memories to sustain them through hard times.

A Summer Soiree!!

We had the great pleasure of being a part of Amanda and Chip’s wedding. This couple and their adorable son are so sweet! When Amanda first contacted us five weeks before the wedding, she was fairly panicked. She only had a few things taken care of and was behind on many other items including dress, flowers, cake, etc. We calmed her down and assured her that we can do it! With our arsenal of tricks and our “can do” attitude, we managed to pull everything together beautifully! At one point through the planning, Amanda actually called us and said that she was bored! :)

They selected the gorgeous Palmetto Club at Fish Hawk Ranch as their venue and a color scheme of pink, green, & chocolate brown. Interesting touches such as pink fans on each ceremony chair, a cylinder of green apples on the escort card table, and pink uplighting around the ballroom created the perfect atmosphere for a beautiful day! Fish Hawk Weddings made all of the flowers, including the cake topper with heart-shaped bear grass. Sweetie's Delights made a cake was not only pretty, but it was yummy! The ceremony took place in the garden in front of a wrought iron arbor. A moving aspect of the wedding was that the bride carried a blue ribbon on her bouquet and a blue candle was burning during the ceremony in memory of their deceased son. It was such a beautiful way to honor him! Good Food Catering enticed the guests with the delicious, including fried mac and cheese lollipops (the groom's favorite), watermelon gazpacho, and Thai shrimp! Chuck from Solid Gold Entertainment kept the party rocking all night, while Abe’s Photography captured all the fun memories. And, we of course ended the night with a sparkler send off!

Amanda and Chip's wedding goes to show that it’s never too late to create your “happily ever after!” Congratulations Amanda and Chip! We wish you the best!

We also want to thank Lindsay, our new intern, for all her hardwork on this wedding!

A Big Apple Bride & Groom

When we received the inquiry from Julie and Adam, we were so excited! This sweet couple is planning their Florida wedding from New York City. They are hosting their wedding at the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota and we are so excited to work with all her vendors, especially Rebecca and Michael from Limelight Photography. Rebecca even traveled to New York City to capture their engagement photos.

WOW...Cake!

We recently attended a Networking Luncheon and I was so mesmerized by the cake that I had to capture it and share!

This creation was done by Michael at Let Them Eat Cake. The cake was animal themed because the luncheon was at the Lowry Park Zoo. Oh yeah, it was DELICIOUS too!!

Vendor Feature: Michelle Renee Hair & Makeup Group

I was extremely lucky to assist the Michele Renee Hair and Makeup Artist Group with a recent wedding! These are some seriously talented young ladies. They come to you, complete with all of their tools and supplies. In addition to typical hair and make-up services, they also specialize in airbrush makeup, artificial lashes, and hair extensions. It was so great to assist Michele and see an event from her perspective.

Michele Renee is a very talented hair and make-up artist. According to her Mother, Michele has been doing hair and makeup since she was 7. Her first model was her reluctant younger brother dressed in drag. Since then she has moved up and has worked for renowned companies such as Orginis, Lancome and The Home Shopping Network. She is most proud of putting together a group of talented and dedicated stylist in the Tampa Bay area to serve Brides on their Special Day. Her experience and passion is evident on the faces of each client she works with.

Some of the current trends that Michele has been seeing lately is smokey eyes, natural lips, and loose wavy curls.

A Rustic Beach Window

We were so honored when Andrea at Paper Presence asked us to design her storefront window each month. Paper Presence is located in the heart of St. Petersburg's Grand Central District at 2435 Central Avenue. Her window showcases her amazing array of custom stationery.

This month, the theme is Rustic Beachy - a natural, relaxed, "feet in the sand" atmosphere. We combined burlap, raffia, and bamboo with stationery designs including starfish, hemp, and other natural elements. Starting with an overlay of burlap, we kept the layout asymmetrical and staggered the height to create interest. We also found creative ways to display the custom pieces of stationery by placing them in sand, in raffia, and standing in coral. Whimsical touches such as hanging starfish and shells in the window, as well as lining the window sill, finished out the natural layout.
