Nicole and Nick are a laid back couple that wanted a party for their wedding. The color scheme was pulled from a peacock feather. The significance of this was that peacocks would roam around Nicole's parents' house, when she was young. There was no stiffness or formality with this wedding! Their invitations had a retro feel, with bold colored and patterns. The grandmother of the bride created all of the florals with a loose and textured style. The bridesmaids wore bright blue dresses, reminiscent of a peacock. The ceremony took place on the beach and was a mostly standing ceremony. A bamboo arbor with a floral accent framed off the couple. The reception was filled with draped areas and multi-colored uplighting. The guests were created with bottle opener favors, in honor of bride & groom's love of beer! To continue this theme, the centerpieces were multi-colored floral arrangements in beer mugs, also created by the grandmother of the groom. The linens and chaircovers were spandex to add to the clean look. The cake was simple and kept white to stand out among the colorful room, and sat atop a gold linen.
