UNIQUE Bride: Chelsea Clinton

Everyone was waiting on the edge of their seat to see photos of the "wedding of the decade," and Chelsea Clinton did not dissapoint! She was graceful, elegant, and modern!

Here is the recap from ABC News -

"Despite rampant speculation, there were no fireworks and few celebrities at the ceremony where Chelsea Clinton married longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky. But, by all accounts, the Rhinebeck, NY nuptials were a beautiful and private affair that left no guest disappointed.

The former first daughter and Marc Mezvinsky wed in a private affair. In front of about 400 of their family and friends, the bride and groom tied the knot in an interfaith ceremony. The wedding photos released by the family, dotted with floral gazebos and a harp, were from the pages of a fairytale.

The former first daughter, 30, wore a strapless gown made of ivory silk with silver beading at the waist, designed by Vera Wang, a family friend. Chelsea changed into a second dress for the party.

'She looked very much a modern princess in 2010 ... the luminous skirt in organza and tulle,' Brides magazine editor-and-chief Millie Martini Bratten said on 'Good Morning America' today. 'It was simple and chic and modern ... and will stand the test of time.'

Her slimmed-down dad, former president Bill Clinton, who lost more than 15 pounds for the event, was close to tears and bit his lip as he walked his only child down the aisle. Her mother, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, beamed in a full-length Oscar de la Renta fuschia gown.
Chelsea Clinton danced with her father to Frank Sinatra's "The Way You Look Tonight," and guests were on the dance floor until about 3 a.m. Sunday.

For such a big wedding, very few details were leaked ahead of time, thanks in part to the couple's wedding planner, Brian Rafanelli, who told the New York Times Sunday that he required confidentiality with all of his vendors. But the tight-lipped guests have finally opened up, including the bride's uncle, Roger Clinton, who said his niece was a 'beautiful woman and her husband is one of a kind.'

There were several memorable toasts, including a heartfelt one from the former president, but Mezvinsky stole the show. 'Marc spoke so movingly about his love for Chelsea,' Daily Beast editor-and-chief Tina Brown said on 'Good Morning America' today. 'He locked eyes with her the whole time.'nMezvinsky talked about how blessed he was to have met Clinton, Daily Beast reporter Jacob Bernstein said, and how she had changed his life.

Although their honeymoon destination is a closely guarded secret, the newlyweds spent Sunday night in the Pierre hotel in New York City, Brown said on 'GMA.'"

Congratulations to Chelsea & Marc!

UNIQUE Wedding: Meredith & JD

Meredith & JD wanted a relaxed, rustic Florida wedding. They didn't want anything too ornate or over-the-top. The Bilmar Resort offered the perfect, laid back feel that they were seeking. With a color scheme of brown, green, & orange, the bride & groom embraced the natural beachy feel. Meredith chose to carry an asymmetrical & tropical bouquet of orchids, lilies, roses & grasses. Her gown was very elegant, and made her the highlight of the day! The beading on her dress glistened in the sun. The ceremony was kept simple with just a few accents of bamboo and tropical flowers. The grasses surrounding waved in the wind. Meredith & JD's ceremony was extra UNIQUE, because it included a Scottish Tartan Ceremony. The bride & groom had each of their family's tartans, and both fathers tied their hands as they were joined. This is another reference to the phrase, "tie the knot!" Rather than a formal reception, Meredith & JD opted to have a cocktail reception with high and low-top tables beneath a tent. The tent had lighting, fabric, & lanterns hanging from the ceiling. We absolutely LOVED their cake! It was an adorable, beach-themed cheesecake, and it was the perfect ending to a laid back day!

Wedding Coordination: UNIQUE Event Design...of course!

Wedding Movie Alert!

I'm such a sucker for a good wedding movie! Father of the Bride, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, My Best Friend's Wedding, all my favs! So you can imagine my joy when hubby brought home a wedding movie for date night, "Our Family Wedding!" (After the extreme shock that he was interested in watching this instead of an action or scary movie!)

I'd actually never heard of this particular movie, which already offered some apprehension, but I'd have to say it was a really cute movie! I say "cute" because it is pretty predictable, and the plot isn't completely UNIQUE, but I really enjoyed it.

The story is about Lucia & Marcus, a young, newly engaged couple who follow the lesson of "Our Marriage, Their Wedding," when it comes to their families. They quickly learn that the road to "I do" is not as smooth as they had previously thought. Family influences, from both sides, offer stress, and comedy, to the planning process. The main source of this stress comes from their fathers, who with their own agenda, threaten to throw a wretch in their special day. With tempers running high, egos in show, and insults flying, it's a battle down the aisle in one piece! If that doesn't make for enough emotion, Lucia's mother is engulfed with planning the wedding of "her" dreams. Lucia and Marcus soon find truth to the saying - that when you marry another, you marry their entire family!

I'll go ahead and spoil the ending and say that Marcus & Lucia do live happily ever after! :)

Check it out and let me know what you think!

UNIQUE Vendor: Life Long Studios

This week, we are featuring the UNIQUE vendor, Life Long Studios!

Here's a few snippets from Life Long Studios -

“Life is full of events that bring forth emotion and expression. For us, photography is a way to bring back that feeling from that one special moment in time so that you can relive it over and over again.” – Buffy Giordano

"Mike, Buffy & Amy have been documenting weddings since 2003 and have been seen in popular wedding magazines including The Knot, Brides Magazine, Florida Bride, Photographer Magazine, Rangefinder and Tampa Bay Weddings.
We document between 130 to 150 weddings per year, mostly in the Central Florida area — but we love to travel.
It's amazing to us how much fun our jobs are. We are in love with the fact that we get to record the most emotional moments of people’s lives. When a bride looks at herself in the mirror first the time on her wedding day…the overly anxious glances of the bride and groom waiting for the officiate to say those magical words "kiss the bride"…the adoration on a father’s face as he dances with his daughter at the beginning of the reception — those are just a handful of the moments that make us LOVE what we do.
Our passion is visible in our work and rewarded with amazing online reviews from clients, as well as professionals that publish our work. Our personal favorite is when we get those cute little hand written thank you cards. Our enthusiasm for the craft of photography helped evolve the way we run Life Long Studios.
Early on in our career as photographers we realized that there is no way for us to run the business, shoot all the events, edit all the images, take all the phone calls, mail all the discs, network with vendors and still have ANY recognizable form of a life. To ensure that we get to spend at least 80 percent of our time doing what we love — taking photos — we built an incredible team of graphic artists, designers and office staff to make us one of the most efficient companies around.
At Life Long Studios we focus on:
- Creating amazing photos for our clients
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Keeping our rates affordable
As silly as it sounds we want to help capture important memories throughout the lives of our clients.
To do that we have expanded over the years to provide more than simply wedding photography. Life Long Studios is available for events, such as Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, quinceaƱeros, baptisms and anniversaries. We also offer full portrait studio in New Port Richey. You might say that our studio is our way of capturing the memories that come more gradually...celebrating an upcoming birth with a maternity session, capturing the family as it grows and ages with family portraits and honoring an upcoming graduate with a senior portrait.
Simply put, we can't thank you enough for taking the time to learn a little more about us. If you look at our work and think 'I hope my wedding photos look like that,' please let us know, we would love to make sure that happens too.'"

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, but these shots may be worth a million words!
