UNIQUE Wedding: Kaara & Chris

Love, Love, LOVE the color scheme from Kaara & Chris' wedding! Can you guess why? Their black, white, & apple green color scheme and modern traditional style merged perfectly into a breathtaking wedding! I died, when Kaara mentioned her lime green peep-toe heels! Love a bride that can rock bright green shoes! These shoes were hiding beneath a classic ivory gown. The bride's bouquet was filled with ivory roses and green ivy, a reminder of the bride's sorority. I especially loved the bridesmaids' black dresses with a very interesting neckline. We contrasted the gowns with all white carnation bouquets. (we're bringing them back, baby!) The ceremony was all black & white. They chose to be married in Kaara's childhood church, which we embellished with two, large all baby's breath altar arrangements and a black & white damask aisle runner. No, the reception was not at Applebee's! In between the ceremony & reception, we had the limo make a pitstop at the local restaurant, since that's where the bride & groom originally met! In the Cocktail Hour, we added touches of green, with fuji mums strategically placed throughout an all black & white layout. The apple green truly splashed in the Reception. All of the guest linens were green with a black & white damask runner, with black chaircovers. Each placesetting had a black napkin with a wedding favor, a black & white cookie. They chose to do black & white cookies to represent how "ying" and "yang" they are (Chris is a city boy and Kaara is a country girl). Black lacquer cubes of white hydrangea with loops of green beargrass and floating candles adorned each guest table. We pinspotted each white centerpiece to make it pop in the dimly lit Ballroom. Instead of table numbers, each table was named a significant location to the bride & groom. The sweetheart table had an all black & white damask linen, lined with rectangular vases of white hygrangea, bear grass, and floating candles. as you can see, the florals were the perfect place to incorporate the modern touches that the bride was seeking. The cake was raised, and a trio of crystal candleholders hung above it. The cake was a modern design of vertical and horizontal lines with a green floral design. The cake stand was filled with green apples, and sat atop a black eyelash pintuck linen. The whole setup was backed by a line of white drape with amber lighting. The fabulous cake overlooked the diamond-shaped dance floor. Besides the ah-mazing decor, one of the most exciting parts of this wedding, was when the bride and groom performed their sorority & fraternity steps. WOW! I've never seen anything like this before. It is most definitely memorable! I can't wait for the video footage!!

Kaara & Chris, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your wedding! It was such a joy getting to know you two, and I know there are great things in store for you! Best wishes for a long and happy life together!
