Kiss & Tell: Katie & Chris

"Staci was absolutely wonderful! I had been so overwhelmed before I hired her, and planning my wedding was starting to seem like a job. I was anxious and worried about all of the little details instead of being excited to marry the man of my dreams. She took all of the work out of it so my wedding could be the celebration it was supposed to be. She juggled all of the vendors and even added her own candles and decorations to the cake table etc to ensure that everything looked beautiful. I would recommend her to any bride who wants to focus on the reasons she is getting married and not on the details of it."

"Staci,

Thank you so much for everything you did to make our wedding so special. You really did 'handle the details while we created the memories.' I would (and will) recommend you to anyone I know who is getting married.

Thank you,

Katie"

UNIQUE Wedding: Missy & Mike

Missy & Mike are such a sweet couple, and they wanted a sweet wedding to match! The day began with a delivery from the groom. He sent the bride an array of flowers with a very loving note! Missy definitely a bride that loves her bling, and her dress & accessories really sparkled! Her pink shoes definitely made a statement! The bridesmaids wore peridot green dresses and carried multi-colored Gerber daisies. Since the church was so beautiful, we kept things very simple. For Cocktail Hour, guests were greeted with a pink tree and escort cards with Gerber daisy touches. The reception was filled with colors and candles. There was a large silver lantern on each table with accents of daisies. Instead of using typical clear glass votive holders, small silver cups were used. The silver of the cup reflected the light beautifully, and multiplied it. Pink lighting filled the room, and helped make the environment completely whimsical. Since Missy & Mike's initials are M&M, I'm sure you can guess what the favors were...pink M&M's! And, to keep the sugar rolling, there was a candy station and an ice cream sundae station for all of the guests dive into! Since Mike is Italian, the guests enjoyed a traditional Italian buffet. Their cake was so simple, with an all white design and pink ribbon. The cake table was decorated with lots of candles and daisies, and tall vases of flowers flanked the cake.

Summer Wedding Tips

Summer weddings have a feeling all their own. It's about incorporating color and sunshine! Here are some tips to make your Summer wedding sensational!

Ice cold drinks and snacks are definitely a must! Your guests will appreciate a refreshing treat to offset the Summer heat!

Finding ways to shade yourself is key. Parasols and hats are both great ways to shade yourself and your guests from the beaming sun. And, a great way to look sophisticated and fabulous!

When it comes to flowers, bright colors and interesting combinations are the perfect fit! Just be sure to keep your flowers hydrated so they don't wilt.

A sweaty bride is not pretty, so choosing a hairstyle that keeps your hair pulled back and off your neck will help to keep you cool and comfortable.

When it comes to fashion, your guys will thank you for selecting a light suit as opposed to a dark tuxedo. The lighter color reflects light better. When it comes to your bridal party, bring in lots of color! It looks great in the sunlight!

Summer centerpieces should look effortless and natural. Here is a tablescape with bunches of sunflowers. They are sunny and the simplicity is the perfect compliment to a Summer day.

Happy Planning!

UNIQUE Finds: Bling Around Your Head!

Okay, okay, so I was able to get off of my "shoe kick" long enough to blog about these gorgeous headpieces by jennifer behr!

"jennifer behr creates a range of seductive headpieces - 21st century crowns - each one with its own appeal… crystals set in dark metal and hand-stitched to ethereal silk chiffons, braided ropes, slick patent leathers and tough studs. this season jennifer artfully incorporates it all to pin back even the unruliest of locks. the collection is made by hand in her studio and within a network of small workshops in brooklyn and manhattan. this results in hair accessories carrying the soul of handwork, while remaining thoroughly modern in appearance."

Out with the old tiara look! These are modern, chic, and...UNIQUE!

UNIQUE Wedding: Heather & Michael

Heather and Mike are definitely a UNIQUE couple! When it came to their wedding, there was no exception! They wanted a wedding that was filled with fun and vintage beachy touches! Their color scheme of fuchsia & teal, with accents of chocolate, was bright and whimsical. Heather has the most beautiful curly blond locks, and her simple and elegant gown complemented them nicely. Heather carried a showstopping bouquet of white cymbidium orchids, and each bridesmaid had an array of colorful flowers that popped against the teal dresses. The guys were neutral, dressed in khaki & white. They looked so sharp! Heather and Mike opted to do a "first look" before the ceremony. Their faces were priceless! The guests walked across a boardwalk to get to the sandy ceremony site, where they were greeted with vintage postcard programs. The ceremony was complimented by the sound of crashing waves. The couple was married beneath the bamboo arbor accented with tropical flowers. Instead of the typical recessional tune, this couple danced down the aisle to James Last's "Aquarius!" Any '40 Year Old Virgin' fans out there? While the newlyweds stayed on the beach to capture some fantastic beach shots (are they not phenomenal?!), the guests headed upstairs for cocktail hour. The escort card table was adorable! The escort cards were little paper lounge chairs in sand, accented with little cocktail umbrellas. The ballroom was filled with fuchsia and teal light, and orchid centerpieces sat atop each guest table. The cake, white with fuchsia ribbon, had touches of starfish, orchids, and edible sand. The newlyweds WOWed all of their guests with an amazing choreographed first dance! All of their guests were on their feet cheering!
