UNIQUE Wedding: Julie & Adam

We were so blessed with the honor of being a part of Julie and Adam’s amazing wedding. This couple is so in love and could barely keep their hands off each other!

Julie and Adam didn’t want your ‘run of the mill’ beachy, Florida wedding. With an unexpected color scheme of deep purple, orange, and lime green accents, they created a sophisticated, modern interpretation of the tropical, Florida style. The Michele Renee Hair and Makeup Artist Group took inspiration from her wedding gown and styled Julie's hair and makeup to resemble that of a 1920's Hollywood starlett. Her hair had a timeless, sophisticated look with a low updo accented with a flower by Shavon's Wedding Silks. By selecting the Healing Garden at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota, for their ceremony, their wedding captured the outdoor climate, but with a tailored look. Orange rose petals and purple orchids graced the aisle, as Julie and Adam united their love with a sand ceremony. Rattan fans were provided for each guest to ease the Florida sun, but it was a surprisingly cool and breezy day, a true treat for their guests, some of which traveled from up north to join in the celebration.

Julie and Adam’s guests were treated to a trolley ride to the Cocktail Hour and Reception by Siesta Trolley, which took place at the Ritz Carlton Beach Club. As the guests entered the Sunset Terrace for the Reception, there were greeted by an impressive display of sand and starfish escort cards. Entering the Reception area, the color scheme and tropical look was completely evident. Dark purple linens, white garden chairs, and textured orange napkins created the modern look that Julie and Adam were seeking. Beneva Flowers used exotics such as lilies and orchids to bring in the tropical feel and loads of texture. Each guest was even treated to a single purple orchid at their place setting. Touches of white finger starfish and shells were present through the terrace. On the cake table, we raised the cake on a glass platform, and fashioned a ‘beach’ beneath it. Sand, shells, and purple orchids below the cake were the perfect compliment to their all white confection, complete with two white chocolate starfish on top, representing the happy newlyweds. We even wrote “Julie (heart) Adam” in the sand in front of the cake. It was details like this, that made this wedding truly unique.

As the Bride and Groom enjoyed their first dance, the sun set behind them and reflected the same color scheme that was present in their wedding. The guests partied into the night and also enjoyed an after party with comfort foods of grilled cheese and pizza!

I also must award Adam's groomsmen the award for "Best Groomsmen Photos!"

Thank you so much for the opportunity to be a part of your wedding. It was a true joy! We wish you happiness for a long and loving life together!
